Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt are all set to share screen space in Sadak 2, a sequel to hit 1991 film Sadak, a romantic thriller, which featured actress Pooja and Sanjay. The film will see Mahesh Bhatt's return to the director's chair after almost two decades. The first shooting schedule of Sadak 2 has been completed, and Pooja claimed that she is convinced something "special" is taking shape. Interestingly, before the film went on floors, Alia had revealed that she will be lending her voice to one of the tracks. 

Now keeping to her promise, we hear that Alia recorded the scratch version of a romantic track at a Juhu recording studio, earlier this week. "While Jeet Gannguly's score is ready, the lyrics are still being worked upon. Jeet da wanted to understand Alia's pitch and voice modulation, so they decided to record the scratch. The lyrics will now be rewritten under the supervision of Mahesh Bhatt," the leading daily quoted a source as saying. Reportedly, the romantic number comes at a crucial point in the film. Hence, Mahesh is being meticulous about it. "The final track will be recorded only after the unit returns from their Ooty schedule in August," added the source.

Meanwhile, Aditya, who has been vacationing in London, is expected to join the unit in Ooty on July 17 for the second schedule of Sadak 2. Actors Jisshu Sengupta, Priyanka Bose and Akshay Anand have also joined the cast of the film, which is scheduled for release on July 10, 2020.
