Vivek Oberoi has done it once again, ruffled people’s feathers the wrong way. Yesterday, he shared a popular meme on India’s defeat at the World Cup semi-finals at the hands of New Zealand which irked the Twitterati to no end. Most celebrities and netizens have been graceful and grateful of team India’s performance in the World Cup and applauded them for their winning streak before they succumbed in the semi-final, so Vivek’s tweet stood out like an eyesore on Twitter.
Vivek shared a common and popular meme of a short dark-skinned man approaching a tall, blonde woman who is about to hug someone. As the two come closer the woman proceeds to hug the white man walking behind the short, stocky, dark-skinned man who walks away with a sheepish grin on his face. Apparently, Vivek must have wanted to depict that India came too close to the trophy but failed to clinch it at the last moment. However, his sense of humour has not gone down well with netizens who lambasted him.

Check out some of the tweets that slammed the actor as the Twitterati thought the meme was uncalled for and Vivek has no business taking a sly dig at the vulnerable Indian cricket team.

Only recently, Vivek had landed in a soup for sharing a meme on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He had to delete it and issue an apology on the same.
