Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for ’83 in the UK with his playing XI. The actor is essaying the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev in the upcoming film which is based on India’s first World Cup win in 1983. The film also stars many other actors like Chirag Patil, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin and others. Chirag who plays the role of his father Sandeep Patil in the film shared a video of his net practice on Instagram.
In the video we get to see Chirag practice batting and eventually he breaks his father Sandeep Patil’s bat after hitting a particular shot. Sandeep was a part of the World Cup winning squad of 1983 and Chirag is essaying his role. Shahil Khattar and Ranveer can be seen cheering him for his bravado. The video shows the immense fun these actors must be having playing the role of iconic characters and prepping up for their roles by playing cricket. Watch the video below:
Chirag captioned the video as, “Net Practise Goals #cricket #sportsfilm #kyabaatay #netpractice #sandeeppatil #SajidNadiadwala.” For the film Ranveer and the other actors have been undergoing strict cricket training under the watchful eyes of former cricketer, Balvinder Singh Sandhu. The film also stars Deepika Padukone in the lead that will be playing Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev. ’83 is directed by Kabir Khan and is slated to release on April 10, 2020.
