It won't be wrong to say Ranveer Singh can go to any extent to get into the skin of the character he is portraying on celluloid. The actor, currently shooting in Glasgow for '83- based on the Indian cricket team's victory in World Cup 1983 against West Indies, did everything possible to learn the mannerisms of the former captain Kapil Dev, who front-lined the team back then. Ranveer, not just stayed with Kapil at his Delhi residence to understand him better but now, he is also put on a special diet to ensure the actor mirrors 'Haryana Hurricane' aka Kapil's athletic physique onscreen. During an interview with a leading daily, Ranveer's dietician, Anmol Singhal, the co-founder of PoD supply, with whom the actor has been associated for the past six years, told he has devised a protein-heavy diet for Ranveer. Anmol told that considering Ranveer is a lover of Indian cuisine, he tries to bring in a variety into his food, keeping restrictions in mind.
"Ranveer loves Indian cuisine. So, we try and bring as much variety into his food while keeping the restrictions in mind. for the past few months, Ranveer has been put on a protein-heavy diet. His favourite is the jalapeño and crisp bacon omelette that comprises rolled oats, eggs, topped with mixed nuts and fresh berries. The complex carbs to boost his energy while the proteins help him cut the fat and increase muscle mass," Anmol told.

Anmol, giving more insight into Ranveer's diet said, considering his craving for Nutella, he has cracked a healthy variant for him. "We've cracked a healthy variant of Nutella for Ranveer, it's an avocado mousse, made of 90 percent dark chocolate chips and avocados," Anmol added.
