'Thankful to the audience for loving, accepting and rooting for this love story': Kiara Advani pens heartfelt note as Kabir Singh completes one month
Shahid Kapoor's and Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh is refusing to stop at the box office even after a month of its release on June 21. Till Saturday, the film has managed to collect Rs 267.29 crores domestically. While Shahid's portrayal of the titular character was praised by one and all, Kiara's act as "Kabir ki bandi" aka Preeti in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial got everyone's attention as well. And it won't be wrong to say that Kiara played the shy and demure character with great finesse.
Now as the film completed one month today, Kiara penned an emotional note, praising her co-star Shahid and director Sandeep apart from the entire cast and crew of the film. Stating that she saw Preeti's "strength, conviction, her love and her passion and couldn’t help but feel for the love story", Kiara went on to give a shout out to Shahid, her "co-star, confidant and friend through this journey". She wrote, "Already missing your craziness mama, couldn’t have been luckier to work together on this special film". Further appreciating Sandeep for his efforts, Kiara pointed out, "His conviction to stay true to his story and make it so unapologetically, his passion for films, his craziness and honesty gave us the opportunity to play characters that were flawed, imperfect and so real that you can’t stop yourself from feeling for them." Not just that, she thanked the producers, the music director and everyone involved in the making of Kabir Singh.
Kabir Singh is a remake of the popular Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy that originally starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, it is a T-Series and Cine1 Studios presentation.
