It's time for some hot and fresh news in Bollywood! Karan Johar, on Tuesday, announced that he has acquired the rights of Vijay Deverakonda- Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade in order to remake the film for Hindi audience. Karan, who watched the film at a private screening couldn't stop gushing over the film and its concept. So much so, the director cum producer went on to declare the remake much before its original release in Southern languages on July 26. he, on Twitter, reviewed the film and stated that the lead actors have given a top-notch performance and called Vijay and Rashmika brilliant.

Karan watched the film at the private screening with Vijay in attendance. The actor flew down to Mumbai specifically for this reason. Karan and Vijay posed for pictures with the team of the film and upped the excitement to see the collaboration kickstart at the earliest. With this announcement, it remains to be exciting to see whether the original star cast is retained for the remake or a new bunch of actors will be roped in. If retained, Vijay will be making his much-awaited Bollywood debut and shall pose as a major threat to several veterans, thanks to his brilliant acting and drool-worthy looks.

Dear Comrade is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Yash Rangineni under Mythri Movie Makers and Big Ben Cinemas. The film’s music has been composed by Justin Prabhakaran. The film marks Vijay's and Rashmika's reunion post their superhit film Geetha Govindam. Vijay, in Dear Comrade, will be seen as a college student. He will be unleashing his angry fiery and passionate romantic side. Rashmika is his love interest.
