Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda recently visited Mumbai to meet Karan Johar, who has bought the remake rights of Vijay's upcoming Telugu film Dear Comrade, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. KJo even shared a picture with Vijay and director Bharat Kamma, thereby expressing his delight after watching their film. Nonetheless, Vijay's fans have been eagerly awaiting to see him feature in a Bollywood film as well.
In a recent interview, Vijay was asked about foraying into Bollywood, to which he admitted that Mumbai doesn't suit him as the city is too fast. "Doing Hindi (films) is interesting but I want to do something that is Telugu and Hindi. Something that works back home and here. I can't see myself shifting here at an apartment as my friends are back home. I love the laid back, lazy lifestyle. I can't work with 5 guys every day photographing me. It serves the purpose, but I don't think I would like it every day and I think Mumbai is too fast for me. I like to do things on my own terms," he was quoted as saying. In fact, in a video that has gone viral on social media, Vijay was seen visibly annoyed with the shutterbugs at the airport and was heard saying, "What is this thalavali (headache), man?"
For those caught unaware, Karan had offered Vijay to act in the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade as well. However, he turned it down as telling the same story twice doesn't interest him but the actor certainly wishes to work with KJo in the future in a different film.
Vijay and Rashmika starrer Dear Comrade is hitting the screens tomorrow on July 26.
