Karan Johar recently met Dear Comrade star Vijay Deverakonda and the film's director Bharat Kamma in Mumbai. Soon after their meeting, the filmmaker announced that his banner, Dharma Productions', will be remaking Dear Comrade in Hindi. Ever since his announcement, there have been speculations that KJo has decided to rope in Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, who made their Bollywood debut together with Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak.
Now as Dear Comrade releases today o July 26, Karan took to his Twitter and wished the team good luck, thereby dismissing rumours surrounding the casting of Janhvi and Ishaan in the Hindi remake. Issuing a clarification, KJo tweeted, "No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet! The planning for this lovely film is underway!" Now as Ishaan and Janhvi are not playing the lead in Dear Comrade Hindi remake, fans are eager to know who will step into Vijay’s and Rashmika Mandanna's shoes.
All the best and big success to the team of #DearComradeOnJuly26th ! Also a CLARIFICATION! No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet! The planning for this lovely film is underway!

Meanwhile, fans of Janhvi and Ishaan need not be disheartened as PeepingMoon.com had recently learned that Dharma has a quirky love story and thriller in the pipeline, for which Karan wants to bring back the exciting Dhadak pair. Their roles in this film, which will apparently be helmed by Bejoy Nambiar who directed Karwan (2018) and Wazir (2016), are going to be absolutely kick-ass. As per our sources, this film will be shot next year after Ishaan finishes Ali Abbas Zafar’s romcom Kaali Peeli that he will be doing with Student of The Year debutante Ananya Panday.
Janhvi, on the other hand, has pretty much a full calendar with Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy RoohiAfza, Sharan Sharma-directed biographical Kargil Girl, Dostana 2 and Takht.
