Another high profile film falls prey to the infamous piracy website TamilRockers. Dear Comrade one of the most anticipated Telugu films of this month released today. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandana in the lead and had the right buzz surrounding it. However, the film’s joy was short-lived as it was hit by online piracy. The full version of Dear Comrade has been leaked online by TamilRockers.
The film directed by Bharat Kamma joins the ranks of Oh Baby, iSmart Shankar, 2.0, Kabir Singh, Super 30 and many more films that have found a place on the torrent website. The leak will probably affect the box office collections of Dear Comrade. However, the film has received a mixed response from the critics but the audience have lapped it up.
Dear Comrade has been released in four languages, namely Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Speaking about the film being a multilingual, Vijay had earlier said, “My cameraman is a Malayalee, my editor is a Malayalee, my music director is Tamil, my actress is Kannadiga. We realised that this is something we love the output and we realised this is something that works across regions, irrespective of languages. We thought why we restrict it," he said, speaking about releasing the movie in different languages. "This is the first time we are doing it so we will understand how it works, what is the payoff. It is a lot of effort which we realized.”
