Ten teams of international dancers were in Mumbai for a final face-off with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor for Remo D’souza’s musical, Street Dancer 3D. The team wrapped up on Friday night and though the film is not carrying the ABCD franchise forward, Varun continues to proudly sport a tattoo from the 2015 ABCD sequel titled ABCD 2. VD's reel-life tattoo was inspired by the one his director wears for real, an emblem of his undying love for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
“Both Varun and I are huge MJ fans and when we discovered this, the tattoo became a part of his character. He will sport the same tattoo in all our dance films together,” said Remo. A source informed that around 5000 junior artists and dancers were a part of the last schedule. On Wednesday, Varun and Shraddha filmed a high octane song with a patriotic undertone with Prabhudheva, who’d taken a few days off from his directorial Dabangg 3. He’d drop by whenever he had a day off to shoot for the musical.
The film which also stars Nora Fatehi in the lead has been shot across Amritsar, London, Dubai and Mumbai. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar and Remo’s wife Lizelle and will release on January 24, 2020.
