Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter made their Bollywood debut together with Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak, bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Ever since then, the two have been inseperable. While their onscreen chemistry was loved by all, it is their offscreen camaraderie that has caught everyone's attention. Amidst rumours of their budding romance, Janhvi's father Boney Kapoor rubbished the reports doing the rounds and told an entertainment portal, Yes, Ishaan and Janhvi have done a movie together and they must have become friends. I respect my daughter and her friendship with Ishaan."
Not just that, several gossip mills also churned out reports stating that Ishaan frequents Janhvi's house and that Boney approves of their relationship. A source close to the Kapoor family laughed them off and clarified to the website, "Ishaan has, in fact, never visited the Kapoor residence after Dhadak released. There is nothing more than friendship between Janhvi and Ishaan." Well, we are certainly disheartened a bit to know that as Janhvi and Ishaan make for a fabulous couple!
Meanwhile, it was being said that Janhvi and Ishaan were being considered for the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit Dear Comrade, which will be produced by KJo. However, Karan clarified that the two were not part of the film and that the cast was yet to be finalised. "All the best and big success to the team of #DearComradeOnJuly26th ! Also a CLARIFICATION! No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet! The planning for this lovely film is underway!" he tweeted.

Workwise, Janhvi has RoohiAfza, Kargil Girl, Dostana 2 and Takht in the pipeline while Ishaan will be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s romcom Kaali Peeli that he will be doing with Student of The Year debutante Ananya Panday.
