Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen and Kirti Kulhari are set to recreate the iconic team of women who executed Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) of November 2013, in the Independence Day release, Mission Mangal. The trailer of the film and promos have been piquing the interest of the audience and now the makers have come out with a promo, titled 'Yeh Sindoor'.
In the promo, Akshay Kumar, who plays the mission director Rakesh Dhawan, gives a voiceover as he salutes the spirit of womanhood and the force that drives them to constantly reach for and go beyond the skies. It features the five extraordinary women scientists working relentlessly towards a dream, one that saw their country become the first to achieve what was previously considered impossible. In the film, Vidya will be seen essaying the project director while Sonakshi plays the scientist in charge of the propulsion control. Taapsee essays the person in charge of navigation and communication. South Indian star Nithya's role is to take charge of the satellite design, while Kirti plays the person in charge of Program Autonomy.
