Didn't want his debut to be typical with a dramatic entry scene, says Sunny Deol on son Karan Deol's first film 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas'

After putting in all his hard work and effort, Sunny Deol is finally ready to share his son Karan Deol's debut film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas' teaser with the world on August 5. Ironically, the date also marks the 36th anniversary of the release of Sunny's debut film, Betaab (1983).

"The date has been special for me," smiled Sunny, hoping that it will bring the same good fortune on his son as it did on him. "We thought that it would be interesting to release the teaser on the same day. I would be lying if I said I am not nervous, but it's a feeling that any father would harbour when his son is taking his first big leap," he said.

The makers of the film dropped a new poster this morning, announcing the teaser launch on Monday.

Also featuring newcomer Sahher Bambba, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas promises to be a classic love story and is all set to release on September 20. Sunny is someone who believes the most in simplicity. He admitted he did not want to create an over-the-top masala film for his son's debut. "The intention is to project who he truly is. I didn't want his debut to be a typical launchpad with a dramatic entry scene for him. This subject was ideal for Karan's first project since it captures the raw emotions of lovers. I wanted to capture the vulnerability and innocence of young kids."

The film has had a long journey of two and a half year and Sunny feels it is because of the location they chose. He said, "The locations were the reason it took us so long. The film has been shot in Himachal, where we filmed at altitudes as high as 13,000 feet. We could've chosen to take the VFX route, but then we would have to compromise on the authenticity."
