Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been grabbing attention lately ever since he announced his next directorial, the Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Inshallah. But not just that, SLB is all set to reportedly produce a mystery-thriller as well, for which he has zeroed in on Randeep Hooda to play the lead protagonist in the film. The upcoming film, which is expected to go on the floors in August, marks the debut of director Balwinder Singh Janjua, who has previously written films like Mubarakan, Firangi and Saand Ki Aankh.
Now according to a report in a leading daily, Zoya Hussain, who made her Bollywood debut with Anurag Kashyap Mukkabaaz, has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Randeep in the film. “Zoya fit the role perfectly and has already begun prepping for her part. After a few rounds of workshops and reading sessions, she will start shooting in the first week of October in Delhi with Randeep,” the daily quoted a source as saying. Reportedly, the film will see Randeep in the role of a cop and has lots of twists and turns.
Work wise, Randeep has wrapped up the shooting of Imtiaz Ali's next, tentatively-titled Aaj Kal. The film also stars Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan.
Interestingly, the upcoming film marks SLB's fifth production in the recent times after Tuesdays And Fridays, Malaal, Abhishek Kapoor’s film on Balakot air strike and Inshallah.
