Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha are bringing forth a gripping courtroom drama titled Section 375. The teaser of the film dropped today. Akshaye plays a best-in-the-business defense lawyer while Richa plays a tough nut public prosecutor arguing for the victim played by Meera Chopra. The film is directed by Ajay Bahl and is based on real-life incidents.
In the teaser, we get to hear Akshaye giving statistics on the rape cases in India and the percentage of the cases that come to a culmination where justice is served. Richa comes with a strong statement that a rape accused often walks free to which Akshaye counters that a rape accused can never be free. Section 375 pertains to anti-rape laws in the Indian Penal Code and the film borrows its name from this. The film focuses on the misuse of anti-rape laws.

Richa and Akshaye are bang on in their roles of attorneys and bring a class and panache to their role. Their diction, demeanor and dialogue delivery is astute in the 1 min 11 second teaser of Sections 375.
Section 375 is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and SCIPL. Rahul Bhat, Zakir Hussain, Kumud Mishra, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Atul Kulkarni also star in the film. The film is slated to release on September 13.
