Salman Khan has a reputation for being one of the most kind-hearted and a true friend indeed. In another recent instance, the actor has yet again proved his loyalty to a friend by covering the medical expenses of his co-star, Dadhi Pandey, a junior artist on Dabangg. Pandey played the role of a cop, Pichkari Yadav, in the first film of the Dabangg franchise. Reportedly, the actor had suffered a heart attack a month ago.
Pandey was rushed to the hospital and later shifted to another one where he was kept in the ICU for a couple of days. Apparently, the expense of the ICU was borne by Salman. Pandey is currently recuperating from his health scare and hasn’t met the superstar to thank him or express his gratitude. He told an entertainment portal, “He is a very kind-hearted person. Jitna bhi kahu unke liye utna kam hai (I can’t thank him enough). He is a great man.”
This is not the first time that Salman has gone all out to help a fellow actor. He has previously helped late actor Kavi Kumar Azad on his medicinal expenses. The expenditure on his bariatric surgery was also sponsored by Salman. Salman has helped several people through his Being Human charity foundation as well.
On the work front, Salman will be seen in Dabangg 3 that is slated to release on December 20. Pandey is reportedly starring in the film as well. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Mahi Gill and Saiee Manjrekar. Dabangg 3 is directed by Prabhu Dheva. Besides Dabangg 3, Salman will also be sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah that is slated to release on Eid 2020.
