Vicky Kaushal is on cloud nine as he has just won the Best Actor at the 66th National Film Awards. The versatile actor won the coveted award for his performance in the film URI: The Surgical Strike. In fact, his film bagged four awards at the National Awards announced today. Director Aditya Dhar was also named the Best Director.
Taking to social media, Vicky expressed his sincere gratitude to the panel of jury at the Film Awards. He wrote, "Words might fall short to describe the happiness I'm feeling right now. For my work to be recognised by the honourable National Film Awards Jury is truly a moving moment for me and my family." Check out his full statement below.

Vicky shared the Best Actor Award with Ayushmann Khurrana for his role in Badhaai Ho. Vicky also congratulated him for his amazing performance and wrote, "I'm also very happy to be sharing the award with someone whom I admire both as a person and as an actor. Ayushmann, congratulations brother!"
URI: The Surgical Strike also featured Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, Kirti Kulhari and Paresh Rawal. It was based on the retaliation to the 2016 Uri attack.The film was the highest grosser of 2019 till Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh overtook it.
