The makers of Raaj Shaandilyaa's Dream Girl recently released the trailer of the comedy-drama. The film that features Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha in the lead roles is touted to be an out and out comedy film. This will be the first time Nushrat and Ayushmann get to share screen space. Nushrat Bharucha plays the role of a small-town girl in the film while Ayushmann respires the role of a Radio Jockey who impresses everyone with his girly voice as Puja.
During the trailer launch event, Nushrat was asked about how she felt about now being the Dream Girl in the film. About this, the actress said, "I am absolutely thrilled and extremely happy to tell that Ayushmann is the hero and the heroine of this film."
She further said, "I think even in Punchnama when the film came, no one expected that the girls would do that but that is what I have been doing. So whatever you don't expect will come your way. So, initially when Dream Girl came, people thought that it would be me but it was not like that. So, I like it and I think on the larger scale, the film has to the most important thing. That is the star and the central character. And being a part of an amazing film will always be my first priority. And Dream Girl was the easiest casting I was a part of. I went to Balaji, Raaj and Ruchika were there, Raaj narrated the script and I said I think I will do it and everyone was like 'okay done' and the next thing I know I was shooting on set."
