As his upcoming thriller Batla House is all set to release within less than 24 hours, the handsome hunk John Abraham, in an interview with a leading daily spoke about how his film choices have changed over the years. The actor, of late, has been associated with crime thriller such as Shootout At Wadala, Madras Cafe, Satyamev Jayate, R.A.W amongst others and with Batla House, John is all set to take over yet another venture of the genre. During the interview, John said he wants to make films that bring across a change within the industry and make the audience understand the situation as well as entertain them. Speaking of box-office numbers associated with commercial projects, the actor said he isn't in the race rat to push big numbers across.
"I want to make films that make effective change within the industry, and films that make people think and at the same time, entertain them. Vicky Donor was first of its kind, so was Madras Cafe… it’s very important to make a change. I am very happy I am not one of those actors who are still trying to breach certain numerical figures… yes, commerce is important. I don’t think I have lost anything for my producer’s or exhibitors. Just to be in the rat race to push big numbers has never been my intention. I am in a happy space," John told.

Batla House stars Mrunal Thakur with John and is scheduled to release on August 15, 2019. The orbits around the alleged police encounter that took place in Delhi in the wake of the serial blasts of 2008. The film is directed by Nikkhil Advani.
