Watch: Glimpse of late Sridevi’s wax statue at Madame Tussauds Singapore in her Hawa Hawai avatar from ‘Mr. India’ out now

Late veteran actor and India’s first female superstar Sridevi’s wax statue will be unveiled at the iconic wax museum Madame Tussauds in Singapore on Wednesday. The news of the unveiling was shared by Sridevi’s producer husband Boney Kapoor on Twitter. He shared a video on social media giving a glimpse of the making of the statue.

He tweeted, “Sridevi lives forever in not just our hearts but also in the hearts of millions of her fans. Eagerly waiting to watch the unveiling of her figure at Madame Tussauds, Singapore on September 4, 2019. #SrideviLivesForever," Madame Tussauds decided to add Sridevi’s wax figure as a tribute to the late actor on her 56th birth anniversary on August 13 this year.

By the looks of it, the sneak peek of the video shows Sridevi being adorned in her popular and famous Hawa Hawai avatar from her film Mr. India. Sridevi acted in 300 films in a career spanning five decades. She had started her career at the tender age of four years and went on to star as a leading lady in blockbuster hits such as Chandni, Lamhe, Mr.India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma, English Vinglish and Mom.

Her last film Mom fetched her posthumous National Award for Best Actress. Sridevi was awarded Padma Shri and had made her mark in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films.
