Rajkummar Rao's father Satyapal Yadav passed away at the age of 60 on Thursday night (September 5). His last rites were performed today in Gurugram at the Madan Puri cremation ground, reported a news agency. Rajkummar's father was admitted in Medanta hospital for the last 17 days and breathed his last on Thursday night.

According to a news agency, the actor's father was cremated at 10 am on Friday morning in the presence of close family members and friends. Satyapal Yadav was a government employee, who worked in the revenue department. Rajkummar lost his mother in 2017, while he was filming for his film Newton. The actor returned to the shoot just a day after his mother's death.

"I returned in a day's time because I knew that's what my mother would have loved - for me to carry on with my commitments, act and finish my duties. Her greatest happiness in life was to watch me on screen. It was hard for me to perform, but I felt her presence supporting me," Rajkummar had said back in 2017.
