'I am really happy with the growth and the way fans look at me,' says Salman Khan on completing 30 years in Bollywood

Salman Khan is a true superstar. With each film of his being a blockbuster, the actor has surely come a long way in terms of projects and reputation earned in the vast film industry. Known as Bhai, Salman is the quintessential big brother who treats his fans with massy entertainers. Now, as the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor clocked 30 years in films, he is surely an elated man with millions looking up to him as a promising and reliable figure onscreen and offscreen too. Salman, during an event held in the city, recalled the days he left behind, completing a whopping 30 years as an actor. He said he is happy with the growth in him as an actor and expressed his gratitude that fans connected with him well since Maine Pyaar Kiya and the bond between fans and star is still intact, irrespective of his films being declared a hit or flop. 

"There is that bond between fans and stars. I have got a really special connect with them since Maine Pyar Kiya till today. They are the same with me whether my films work or not. It's been 30 years that I have been working in this industry. Earlier, they would give me names like Sallu, Salle, Salman, Bantai, and now it is Bhai or Bhaijaan. It has taken a long time to achieve that. I am really happy with this growth and I am very happy with the way fans look at me," Salman told during the event.

Salman started off his journey as the lead with Sooraj Barjatya's Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989. From then, there was no looking back for the actor. Soon, he starred with Madhuri Dixit in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! in 1994 and this film recently clocked 25 years since release. With relatable characters and honest performances, Salman became a favourite amongst cine-goers and this can be proven with him entering into the coveted 100 crore club with every new film.

Workwise, Salman was last seen in Bharat which released over Eid this year. He will next star in Dabangg 3 with Sonakshi Sinha and will release on December 20, 2019. He has also been cast in the sequel of Kick which is still in the making. Apart from this, he will be returning as host for Bigg Boss 13, which is said to go on air this month.
