Speaking of Coolie No.1, the film is a remake of the film by the same name which featured Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. Now, Varun will step into Govinda's shoe while Sara will take over Karisma's role. The film is scheduled to release on May 1, 2020. It is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. Apart from Sara and Varun, Coolie No. 1 features Paresh Rawal, Shikha Talsania, Johnny Lever, Jaaved Jaaferi and Rajpal Yadav in important roles. Before beginning the Mumbai schedule, the team shot for portions in Bangkok in August.
