Renowned actress Priyanka Chopra, 37, married singer Nick Jonas, 26, in December last year at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. Interestingly, just few days before the wedding, PeeCee was busy shooting for her upcoming film, Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink, co-starring Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. Talking about it to an international channel, Priyanka revealed that it was not her but her husband Nick who did the 'heavy lifting' on their wedding planning. "Nick had come down to India because he was handling logistical things with the wedding planners while I was finishing the film. He used to come to set for just a little bit, and go back, so having him around, my brain was like, 'Alright, this is all good. I don't have to stress out. He's handling, he's doing the heavy lifting," Priyanka said.
She continued, "That's the best thing about our relationship. When he's working, I do it, when I'm working, he does. That's something that we adore and understand about each other, that our work is of precedent to us. It was amazing to see that."
Interestingly, Priyanka and Nick spent their first Thanksgiving together in New Delhi as the actress was busy filming in the capital. In fact, Priyanka arranged a turkey for the day and post the dinner, she danced to Bhangra beats with Nick and the entire team of The Sky Is Pink. "It is as obnoxious as it sounds," the actress could not control her laughter while revealing that.
The Sky Is Pink marks PeeCee's Bollywood comeback after 3 years and is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
