Ever since the sequel to Ayushmann Khurrana's and Bhumi Pednekar's quirky comedy Shubh Mangal Saavdhan was announced, the anticipation around the project shot high. PeepingMoon.com was the first to inform its readers that the sequel titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will be a gay love story starring Ayushmann in the lead role. Confirming the same, the makers in May, shared the first teaser of the film on social media to indicate the basic storyline. And now, after a long wait to know more about the rest of the cast, Ayushmann shared a character introduction video on his Instagram on Thursday.
Introducing Gajraj Rao aka Shankar Tripathi and Neena Gupta as Sunaina Tripathi, the video starts with a quirky kaali gobhi league. Soon, we are introduced to Aman Tripathi played by Jitendra Kumar, who apparently seems to be Gajraj's and Neena's son while Ayushmann is Kartik Singh. As the kaali gobhi keeps passing from one member to another, Aman and Kartik seem to be lost in their sweet world together, which faces objection from the Tripathi family. What follows next and whether the family accepts their homosexual relationship will be answered in the film, which is scheduled for a March 13, 2020 release.
