Rajkummar Rao's and Mouni Roy's upcoming quirky drama Made In China, with the trailer of the film, has built the right amount of anticipation. As now, as the film inches closer to its Diwali release, the makers dropped the first song titled Odhani. Odhani is a recreated modern version of a popular Gujarati Garba folk song by the same name. With an amalgamation of retro and traditional, Odhani is a foot-tapping number which is surely going to be a hit this Navratri season. Set against the backdrop of a shack, the highlight of the song remains to be Rajkummar's and Mouni's fresh yet sizzling chemistry.
The song starts with Rajkummar's Raghu entering into a shack where Rukmini aka Mouni is seen showing off her dance moves. Soon, the lead actors break onto the dance floor and leave us in awe of their sass and sizzling chemistry. While Rajkummar accounts to a perfectly innocent and straight-forward Gujarati businessman, Mouni gives a glimpse into her badass, bold and fierce character of Rukmini, who is Raghu's wife in the film. Drawing reference to Falguni Pathak's classic number Odhani Odhu, an often used Garba number during Navratri, the song in Made In China is sung by Neha Kakkar and Darshan Raval. It is composed by Sachin – Jigar and the lyrics are co-written by Jigar and Niren Bhatt.
Speaking of Made In China, the film revolves around Raghu, a Gujarati businessman who travels to China for business opportunities and returns with the idea of selling soup to the world. The film is scheduled for a Diwali 2019 release. The film, apart from Rajkummar and Mouni, stars Sumeet Vyas, Paresh Rawal, Gajraj Rao and Boman Irani. It is directed by Mikhil Musale and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner, Maddock Films.
