Watch: Daughter Laila Khan Furniturewala remembers late father Feroz Khan on his 80th birth anniversary, releases a special video in his memory

Late actor Feroz Khan, undoubtedly stood amongst the most handsome and talented actors of his time. The veteran, with films like Qurbani, Dharmatma, Dayavan and several others, left a permanent mark on the industry that can't be erased till eternity. And now, as the fraternity posthumously celebrates and remembers the actor par excellence, his daughter Laila Khan Furniturewala, in his memory, released a special video on social media platforms today(Sept 25). The clipping is a compilation of Feroz sahab's memorable moments, film scenes, posters and unforgettable dialogues. Laila, during an interview with a leading daily, spoke about the video and said the purpose was to celebrate his flamboyant self and achievements. She further spoke about her father and said he revolutionised Indian cinema with disco songs and was ahead of his time, which still remains fresh and modern. 

“I want to celebrate his life, his courage, and his achievements. He revolutionised Indian cinema by bringing the disco genre with songs like Laila O Laila, Aap Jaisa Koi, Pyar Do Pyar Lo... creating beautiful sets, flying down international dancers and choreographing the dance movement so internationally. His storytelling and film- making was unique; ahead of its time and full of heady space, which is why it stands so fresh and modern till today. His slick, stylish movie productions are among the best in the history of Indian cinema with his music being enjoyed even now and remixed by major productions,” Laila told.

Feroz sahab was born as Zulfikar Ali Shah Khan on September 25, 1939. he went on to step into the films in early 60's-70's and got a big break with Phani Majumdar's Oonche Log in 1965 where he was paired opposite Raaj Kumar and Ashok Kumar. From then, there was no looking back for the actor, who later went on to produce and direct several superhit films. His last film was Welcome in 2007 in which he played the role of RDX. After two years since its release, he breathed his last that is on April 27, 2009.
