Among those who accused him were Saloni Chopra, Rachel White, Simran Suri and journalist Karishma Upadhyay. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film which stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Kriti Kharbanda, was eventually directed by Farhad Samji.

The film's trailer was launched today and Akshay was asked if he would ever work with Sajid Khan again, to which he replied, "Yes, if he is acquitted of everything. I don't know what has happened exactly but if he is, I will surely work with him." Further more, Akshay was questioned why Sajid isn't sharing the director's credit with Farhad Samji, Akshay quipped, "This call is a studio call and this is how it is gonna happen."
