A while ago, reports did the rounds the megastar Amitabh Bachchan was hospitalised due to a liver ailment. However, PeepingMoon.com was the first to inform its readers that the Piku star, although admitted for a brief time, wasn't suffering from a liver-related problem but it was due to intestine complications and will be heading back home by the weekend. And this time too, we got it right. Amitji, on Friday night, got discharged from the hospital and was clicked by paparazzi as he was on his way home with son Abhishek Bachchan.
Amitji, who is currently seen hosting the 11th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, kept his hospital visit private and indicated about his well-being by posting an endearing Karva Chauth wishes for his wife Jaya Bachchan on his Twitter account from the hospital. The actor was admitted to Nanavati hospital in the suburbs around three-four days ago.

Speaking of the speculation reports, the buzz had it that Amitji is in a critical condition, owing to Hepatitis B, which he contracted while recovering from a near-death accident during the filming of Coolie in 1982. Amitji, on several occasions, has confessed to be surviving on only 35% functioning liver as one of his blood donors was bearing the Hepatitis B virus.
Workwise, the actor will be seen in Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo, Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra and Nagraj Manjule's Jhund.
