The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on Saturday, brought together the who's who of Bollywood under the same roof by inviting them to be a part of his special meet held at his residence in Delhi. Called Change Within Meet, the PM initiated this meet to mark Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary that fell on October 2 this year. From Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan to Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez amongst several others marked their presence at the do. During the same, a special video was unveiled by Salman that featured him with Shah Rukh, Aamir, Kangana, Sonam, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor.
The special video that paid a tribute to baapu, was directed by Rajkumar Hirani, who in the past helmed Lage Raho Munna Bhai, based on the ideologies of the former. With teachings and thoughts penned on non-violence, courage, service, belief, peace, thoughts, truth and faith, the actors put forth their voice in the best possible manner and paid a fitting tribute. "One man changed our entire nation. His thoughts, his legacy will forever live on. Honouring 150 years of Gandhiji," Salman wrote while sharing the video on his Twitter account.
PM Modi, during the event, while unveiling the video said, "Gandhi is synonymous with simplicity. His thoughts reverberate far and wide. The power of creativity is immense, and it is essential to harness this spirit of creativity for our nation. Several people from the world of films and television have been doing great work when it comes to popularising the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.”
