Salman Khan's action cop franchise Dabangg is now all set to enter into its third series as the film clocked, this year clocked nine years since its first installment. The film, which is being directed by Prabhudheva, had sent its fans and audience into a happy zone post announcement and kept their interest piqued by making them wait with bated breath for sneak-peeks into the world of Robin Hood cop Chulbul Pandey, played by Salman. And now, as the film is almost two months away to its theatrical opening, the makers, on Wednesday drew curtains from the much-anticipated trailer of Dabangg 3. Speaking of the film, it introduces veteran actor Mahesh Manjrekar's younger daughter Saiee Manjrekar to films by roping her in to play the role of Khushi, in the lead, opposite Salman. Sonakshi Sinha returns at being Mrs. Chulbul Pandey aka the fiery and gorgeous Rajjo. The main antagonist Balli is played by Kannada star Sudeep, who will lock horns with Salman's Chulbul Pandey in the latest edition of the popular franchise.
Speaking of the trailer, it focuses on Salman's Chulbul Pandey's journey from a local goon to becoming a Robin Hood cop. In the throwback portions, Saiee plays the role of Salman's love interest. Soon, upon witnessing the tragedy of her sudden death, Salman becomes a cop. During this period, he unknowingly locks horns with Balli, which sets the tone for the rest of the film right. Post this, in recent times, Sonakshi takes over his heart and mind with her love for him. In the trailer, we get a glimpse of Salman as an emotional lover and a powerful cop. Like always, his quirky character traits remain to be a highlight. Sonakshi as Rajjo comes across as a more sexier and fierce character than before and we can't wait to watch her onscreen. Saiee as Khushi, leaves behind a mark with her innocence and infectious smile. Sudeep as the antagonist is menacing and cruel, making the film an exciting ride.
Dabangg 3, apart from Salman, Sonakshi, Saiee and Sudeep, stars Mahesh Manjrekar as Haria, who is Sonakshi's father and Pramod Khanna, who stepped into his late brother Vinod Khanna's shoes as Salman's father. The film, directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Arbaaz Khan, Salman and Nikhil Dwivedi is scheduled to release on December 20, 2019.
