Shah Rukh Khan, apart from fulfilling his duties as an actor, is known to give back to society by engaging in social activities. The actor philanthropist, who is been loved by millions, ensures to do his bit via his charitable organisation named Meer Foundation, which derives its name from his late father Meer Taj Mohammed Khan. With the establishment, Shah Rukh aims an effective change at ground level through extensive work. And being the founder of the organisation, he leaves no stone unturned to spend adequate time with and for the initiative. Similarly, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor recently interacted with acid attack survivors under the initiative titled ToGETher Transformed, which was launched earlier this year.
During the meet, Shah Rukh spent time with the survivors, who were sponsored corrective surgeries for burns. He, at the event, was seen clicking pictures with the women and had a heart-to-heart conversation with them.

The ‘ToGETher Transformed’ initiative by Meer foundation was launched keeping in mind the need for a holistic healing approach that aims to rehabilitate acid attack survivors across the country. These surgeries were performed across patients from Delhi, UP, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand, with an 85% population of women and children who availed the facilities of the initiative. The foundation provides support to women victims of acid attacks and major burn injuries through a 360-degree approach that helps them with their medical treatment, legal aid, vocational training as well as rehabilitation and livelihood support.
