Deepika Padukone has time and again come out in the open regarding battling depression and mental health issues. The actress, who flagged off her own foundation named 'The Live, Love, Laugh Foundation', has been maintaining an active relationship with her followers who have lauded her for the step taken towards creating a friendly environment from those suffering mental health problems. While Deepika is already credited to bring in awareness, she has taken a step forward and launched an initiative where the actress will open the doors of her closet for sale. The cause named The Deepika Padukone Closet will enable her fans to purchase exclusive outfits handpicked by the Piku star at an interval. The amount collected, post-sale will be given to 'The Live, Love, Laugh Foundation' to strengthen their cause of giving hope and support to those experiencing stress, anxiety, and depression.
After the gorgeous handpicked 'festive edit', Deepika, on Thursday, shared her 'winter edit'. In this set of 'edit', the actress picked up an exquisite brown jacket that she had worn for interviews during Happy New Year's release. Along with that, she chose a black and a white fur coat, black boots and a sweatshirt for the go. With Deepika having opened her closet, go ahead, shop for a cause.
Deepika started off the closet initiative on the occasion of World Mental Health Day that is October 10, 2019, to raise awareness regarding mental health. Speaking of her foundation, 'Live, Love, Laugh', it was established in the year 2015 in Bengaluru, which is Deepika's hometown, after she herself experienced depression a few years ago.
Workwise, Deepika will be seen producing and acting in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak, which is inspired by acid attack victim Laxmi Agarwal. It is scheduled to release on January 10, 2020. She will also feature in Kabir Khan's '83 with her husband Ranveer Singh followed by Madhu Mantena's Mahabharat.
