Parineeti Chopra, ever since her debut with Ladies VS Ricky Bahl in 2011, has proven her mettle as a wonderful performer. The actress, within a short span of time, climbed to the top of several filmmakers' list and bagged some interesting projects for her kitty. And now, Parineeti stands amongst the busiest actresses of recent times with two highly anticipated films, namely, Saina Nehwal's biopic and The Girl On The Train's Hindi remake, in the pipeline. Considering her hectic schedule in the next few months, as per reports, the Ishaqzaade star has withdrawn her name from Ajay Devgn's Bhuj: The Pride Of India in which she was to play the role of a femme fatale named Heena Rahman. According to reports of a leading daily, Parineeti was keen to be a part of the war film but couldn't allot dates for the same.
“It is really unfortunate. There is a massive date issue and she will unfortunately not be able to match the Bhuj shoot dates. She was really excited to do the project but given her commitments on Saina and Girl on the Train overlapping massively, she is not being able to carve out dates for Bhuj,” a trade source close to the development informed.
Bhuj: The Pride Of India is being directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and stars Ajay with Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubati, Ammy Virk and Pranitha Subhash in important roles. Touted to be mounted on a budget of Rs. 100 crores, the war drama is produced by Ajay, Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh, Abhishek Dudhaiya and Kumar Mangat Pathak under their respective film production banners of T-Series, Ajay Devgn Films and Select Media Holdings LLP. Bhuj: The Pride Of India will release on Independence Day 2020.
