Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar was taken ill a few days ago and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Breach Candy Hospital due to chest infection in the wee hours of November 11. The 90-year-old singer was said to be in critical condition. However, a news agency erroneously stated that she was discharged and is back at her home.
Now, a recent statement from her family has been issued about Lata Ji's health. The statement reads, “Lata Ji is stable. Her parameters are good. Honestly speaking, she has fought so well that she is coming out of this setback. Being a singer, her lung capacity has pulled her through. Truly a fighter. We will update everyone when Lataji gets discharged and comes home... Request that we give the family the space they deserve at the moment."
Lata Ji is called as the ‘Nightingale of India’ and has sung many iconic songs. Her melodious voice is still unparalleled and she is idolized by several leading playback singers of the country. We hope she comes back home as soon as possible. Watch this space for more updates on her health.
