Children's Day 2019: From Arjun Kapoor's emotional post for parents to Ananya Panday's innocent throwback picture, celebrities bring alive their hidden child

The entire nation, on Thursday, celebrated Children's Day with joy and nostalgia. The occasion that marks the birth anniversary of India's first Prime Minister-Jawaharlal Nehru, better known as Chacha Nehru by his little admirers, Children's Day accounts for a special moment when we all unleash the hidden child within us and bring back good old memories of childhood before us once again. Similarly, as the country recalled and reminisced old times, our B-Town members too, soaked into the vibes and shared some wonderful recollections on their social media platforms. From Arjun Kapoor's emotional note to Ananya Panday's innocence picture, let's take a look at the way Bollywood brought in the celebration of the occasion.

Arjun, on his Instagram account, penned a heartwarming note for his parents Boney Kapoor and late Mona Shourie Kapoor. He thanked them for giving him a wonderful childhood despite all odds and expressed his gratitude towards them. "So it’s children’s day today & I thought I must thank my parents for allowing me to have this amazing life growing up as a child...despite all their ups & downs I was always treated with love respect & care...they let me become my own person & be what I am today... also belated Happy birthday Dad. May ur love for matching tracksuits long continue... Love you... have an amazing year and stay the way you are...miss your smile Mom nowadays more than ever...hope u happy wherever you are...," Arjun wrote.

Ananya, sharing a throwback picture, wrote, "yes!! I was that kid who wore her own face on her T-shirt, struck the most extra poses and took the most obnoxious selfies but also the happiest bcuz I have the best parents happy children’s day!"

Varun Dhawan recited a poem and urged his followers to keep the child alive in them, irrespective of what the society says. "Keep the child Alive in you. Doesn’t matter what everyone thinks. Happy children’s day," Varun wrote.
