Chehre is an upcoming mystery thriller, which stars Amitabh Bachchan with Emraan Hashmi. The film is directed by Rumi Jaffrey and produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited. Earlier on Big B’s 77th birthday, a montage of 50 iconic characters played by him was unveiled that also showcased his look from Chehre.
The film is already being shot and to everyone's disappointment, we now hear that Kriti Kharbanda may no longer be part of the film. According to a report in a leading daily, Kriti's 'starry demands' made director Rumy and producer Anand show her the door. Not to miss, Kriti had already shot for the thriller and the makers are now figuring out if they should do away with it or shoot it again with a replacement.
PeepingMoon.com tried to contact Kriti and Rumi. We are yet to get a response from them.
Meanwhile, Kriti had earlier shared her experience of shooting with the iconic actor in Chehre. She recalled he left her overwhelmed by addressing her as "mohtarma" and told a leading news agency, "On the first day of shoot, after my first take, I went to check my shot. Everyone said it was good. Amit ji looked at me and asked, you want one more? I said yes. Then he asked me, why? I looked at him and said 'sir ek aur kartein hain please (let's have one more take please)'. He said, 'you don't need to request me, you need to be happy as an actor. Mohtarma aiye, ek aur shot letein hain (lady, come let's give another shot)'. That's the first time someone called me Mohtarma and I was thinking, "that's so cool!"
The film is slated to release on April 24, 2020.
