International Film Festival India (IFFI), which has been taking place since November 20 in Goa, on Friday made a major goof-up it used lyricist Gulzar's pic for Satyajit Ray on their website. For the unversed, the homage section on the official website featured Satyajit's film Ganashatru, based on Henrik Ibsen’s play An Enemy of the People. While the credit for direction and the description for the 1989 film read fine, it carried a picture of Gulzar instead.
The error has since been corrected but the picture went viral before that. See for yourself:
Meanwhile, the 50th edition of the IFFI got off to a glittering start in Panaji in Goa. At the opening ceremony, the fans had a field day as Bollywood great Amitabh Bachchan and southern superstar Rajinikanth were present. Rajinikanth, who shared the stage with Bachchan on the occasion was honoured with a special award "Icon of the Golden Jubilee of IFFI". On the other hand, Big B reminisced how he had shot his first film Saat Hindustani in the place.
