Rajkumar Hirani’s last cinematic outing was Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The film not only managed to impress the audience but also raked in huge business at the box office. Now adding to the excitement, we hear that Hirani is in the middle of scripting of his next production, which will be another biopic. According to a report in a leading trade portal, the ace filmmaker is making a film on Lala Amarnath, the Indian cricketing legend.
For the unversed, Lala Amarnath was the first batsman ever to score a century for India in Test cricket. He was independent India's first cricket captain and captained India in the first Test series win against Pakistan in 1952.
What's more? Rajkummar is said to be collaborating with Sanju screenplay writer Abhijat Joshi for the same although it is unsure whether Hirani is going to be directing the film. Meanwhile, no announcement has been made yet and the details of the film are still under wraps. If the report turns out to be true, it would certainly be a delight to watch Lala Amarnath's life on the silver screen.
