As the year inches closer to its end, the official awards season in tinsel town began with the Star Screen Awards held on Sunday. With films like Gully Boy, Article 15, War, Kabir Singh, Saand Ki Aankh, Uri: The Surgical Strike having proven to be winners at the box-office, these projects won big at the awards night and took home the prestigious trophy rightfully. The night saw Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurrana, Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar and others bag the Screen Awards trophy for their impeccable talent. Soon after receiving the honours, celebrities expressed their gratitude on social media. From Ayushmann's poetry to Taapsee's rightful dig at those who criticised her for Saand Ki Aankh, B-Town brought out their emotions on social media.
Starting with Taapsee, the actress who won hearts with her earnest performance in Saand Ki Aankh, thanked the director Tushar Hiranandani and Shooter Dadis- Chandro and Prakashi Tomar for believing in Bhumi and her with their story.
Ayushmann, after thanking Amar Kaushik and Anubhav Sinha for Bala and Article 15, shared his poem with a picture holding the trophy.
Ranveer, not just won one trophy for Gully Boy but also bagged one for being the entertainer of the year. Posing with them, the actor couldn't control his excitement.

Siddhant Chaturvedi, after bagging Most Promising Actor Male for Gully Boy, dedicated his post to his parents. "Thank you Papa and Ma for making this possible. Thank you #StarScreenAwards for this moment of pride for my parents, and thank you to all my peeps, Pyaar mila hai aapka! Boht pyaar! Boht Hard!," Siddhant wrote.
Kartik Aaryan, whose film Luka Chuppi won the Baat Nayi Award, shared a picture with the trophy. "Thank you #StarScreenAwards2019 #LukaChuppi is a Special Film #GudduShukla is really close to my heart," Kartik wrote.
