It was a year ago that reports suggested that Salman Khan is reuniting with his younger brother Sohail Khan his ambitious jungle adventure film titled Sher Khan. Soon, the buzz had it that comedian Kapil Sharma will also join the cast but there is no clarification on the same to date. So much so, the speculations stated that Salman, who will lead the pack in Sher Khan, will begin shooting for it post completing Dabangg 3. Now, as the action franchise is about to release in eight days, there is still no update on the pet project of Sohail. Addressing the same, Salman, during an interview for Dabangg 3, told that Sher Khan is a heavy VFX film and will take a lot of time. Adding, Salman said the jungle adventure film will go on floors after he completes the shoot of another two-three lined up films.
"That film requires a lot of visual effects. After it is shot, it will take six-eight months, almost a year, for it to be ready. After the next two-three films, Sher Khan goes on the floors. It’s beautiful," Salman told.
Sohail and Salman were last seen together in Kabir Khan's Tubelight in 2017.
Talking of Dabangg 3, the film, directed by Prabhudheva and produced by Arbaaz Khan, Salman and Nikhil Dwivedi, stars Salman, Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar, Sudeep, Mahesh and Pramod Khanna. It is scheduled to release on December 20, 2019. Dabangg 3 revolves around Chulbul Pandey's journey from a local goon to becoming the Robin Hood cop in recent times. Sonakshi plays the role of his wife Rajjo in the current period with Saiee being his love interest, Khushi in his youth. Sudeep is the main antagonist Balli, who locks horns with Salman.
