A couple of months ago, reports strongly suggested that sons of renowned former writer duo Salim-Javed that is Salman Khan and Farhan Akhtar are in talks with each other to unite for a film. The buzz stated that the second generation of the writer maestros met each other a couple of times and seemed enthusiastic to work together for the first time. Upon hearing this, fans of Salman-Farhan went into a zone of excitement. However, back then, there was no official confirmation from the actors. But now, during an interview with a leading daily for his upcoming film Dabangg 3, Salman revealed that Farhan approached him with a script and indicated that nothing has been finalised yet. Calling the Dil Dhadakne Do actor his younger brother, the Kick star said his sibling-like bonding with the Farhan and Zoya Akhtar will always be there.
"Farhan has come to me with a script and I like him. He is like a kid brother; he has grown up with us. That bond will always be there with Zoya (Akhtar) and him. They are like my younger siblings," Salman told.
Speaking of Salim-Javed, the writer-duo worked on cult classics like Sholay, Deewar, Zanjeer, Don amongst many others. Post working on 22 films together, Salim-Javed parted ways in early 1982 after a 12-year-long friendship and professional relationship citing personal reasons.
Workwise, Salman, after Dabangg 3, which is scheduled to release on December 20, 2019, will be seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. Farhan, on the other hand, is working on Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Toofan which will open at theatres on October 2, 2020.
