As the year is coming to an end, Bollywood, in the past 12 months, has given the audience some memorable films to take back home. While the Khans played it safe, the younger generation of actors stepped out of their comfort zone and aced some layered characters with finesse. Be it Ranveer Singh's rapper Murad from Gully Boy or Ayushmann Khurrana donning the role of a Dream Girl, the audience has loved it all. With critics and the audience giving a thumbs up to fresh content, Bollywood celebrities have left no stone unturned to cheer for their colleagues. Similarly, Shahid Kapoor, during a roundtable interview with Ayushmann, Ranveer, Vijay Varma and Akshaye Khanna in attendance, applauded Ayushmann's and Ranveer's work and choice of films. The Kabir Singh actor, who makes headlines for an alleged bitterness against Ranveer since Padmaavat, debunked them all and showered praises on the latter. When asked about the kind of film they wished they would be offered more, Shahid promptly said he would love to do a Gully Boy or the kind of films Ayushmann does.
“I think all of us sitting here must be dying to do a genre the other one has done at some point and be like, ‘I love that! Why didn’t I get that?’ I would love to do a film about a rap star coming up from Dharavi. That’s such an amazing space. I would love to play a Moin, I would love to do what Ayushmann has done in most of his films,” Shahid told.

Adding further, Shahid spoke about Ranveer rapping for songs in Gully Boy. The Udta Punjab actor said he loved the fact that the Bajirao Mastani star is behind the performances and it isn't fake. “Like I love the fact that when he is doing his performances, he is actually rapping that sh*t. Coz I hate the fact that somebody else has sung it. I feel like a faker,” Shahid added.
