The much-awaited trailer of Rajinikanth starrer Darbar was launched today. The event was also attended by other cast members of the film including Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar. Darbar is directed by AR Murugadoss and has Nayanthara in the lead. During the trailer launch event Rajinikanth was asked a myriad number of questions and he gave up some of the most upfront and wittiest answers.
Rajinikanth who is a veteran actor was asked what role he would like to play next and surprisingly he said, “A transgender role.” Akshay Kumar will play the role of a transgender in his upcoming film Laxmmi Bomb that is slated to release on Eid 2020. The role is touted to be a very brave move by a mainstream A-list Bollywood star. Hence, it is not surprising that his 2.0 co-star Rajinikanth wants to step into his shoes. Watch Rajinikanth below.

Darbar also stars Nivetha Thomas, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiya, Sriram, Prateik Babbar, Jatin Sarna, Nawab Shah and Dalip Tahil in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on Makar Sankranti in 2020.
