John Abraham, with back-to-back interesting projects in his lineup, is currently one of the busiest actors in tinsel town. With action films like Attack and Satyamev Jayate 2, the handsome star is working hard to set the box-office ringing. While John is neck deep busy with work on the acting front, he is ensuring to also be behind some interesting films by donning the hat of a producer. And one of the much-awaited films of the near future is financed by the Batla House actor. The film is none other than Arjun Kapoor's and Rakul Preet Singh's cross border rom-com. As the film is currently being shot, reports suggest that John is all set to give his fans a double treat by not just bankrolling it but also starring in a cameo. As per reports of a leading daily, the 46-year-old actor will be seen in the flashback portions as Kumud Mishra's younger self.
"While the Kaashvie Nair-directed vehicle is primarily about Arjun and Rakul's characters, Kumud Mishra and Neena Gupta have prominent arcs in the story. John has been roped in to play a younger version of Kumud sir in the film and will be seen in one of the flashback sequences. The team is currently looking for a newcomer to portray Neenaji's younger version. After finishing the shoot of Satyamev Jayate 2, which too is backed by Nikkhil, John will shoot for his portions in the drama," a source close to the film added.
The cross-border dramedy is written and directed by Kaashvie Nair along with Amitosh Nagpal and Anuja Chauhan. It will be produced by Nikkhil Advani with John and Bhushan Kumar. The yet to be titled film will be shot across locations in Punjab and Los Angeles and will present the actors in a never-seen-before avatar.
