Deepika Padukone, with the trailer of Meghna Gulzar's upcoming film Chhapaak, left us speechless. Loaded with emotions teamed with a riveting tale that will send down a shiver down the spine and also inspire us to the core, Chhapaak stands tall amongst the much-awaited films of 2020. Now, after a few days since the trailer release, the makers of this film, drew curtains from the first song. Titled Nok Jhok, the song traces the endearing bitter-sweet relationship between Deepika and Vikrant Massey.
Speaking of the song, it is all about Deepika's Malti's and Vikrant's Amol's blossoming love with sans the drama, which makes it seem absolutely natural. Vikrant, who stands by Deepika's side in her fight to seek justice, grows closer to her and vice versa. The cause for which their meetings increase, not just brings success on the legal front but also on the romantic end too. Sung by Siddharth Mahadevan and Shankar Mahadevan, Nok Jhok is beyond beautiful and soulful. It is composed by the legendary trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the lyrics are by Gulzar.
Directed by Meghna, produced by Fox Star Studios, Deepika’s KA Production, Meghna and Govind Singh Sandhu’s Mriga Films, written by Atika Chohan and Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak is a tale of an acid attack survivor who battles against the social evil doers. The film is scheduled to release on January 10, 2020.
