Akshay Kumar married to Twinkle Khanna in 2001 and the two are proud parents to son Aarav and daughter Nitara. However, back in the 90s, Akshay enjoyed the reputation of a ladies' man. During a recent event hosted by a media group, Akshay was asked to comment on his transformation from a ladies' man to a family man, to which Akshay funnily replied, "Aaj bhi main ladies' man hoon." He further quipped, "Perhaps not anymore in the context you mean it. Now, I'm a family man. I've had a very good life and I'm very proud of it."
Well, that's certainly true!
In fact, despite his hectic schedule, Akshay makes sure to spend time with his wife and kids. When he's not taking mini-vacations with the family, he is seen enjoying morning walks with his daughter Nitara, or cooking a meal for his son, Aarav. When asked about balancing his personal and professional life, the 52-year old actor pointed out, "I still cook, perhaps once a month on a Sunday. When my son visits from the US, he asks me to make pasta or chocolate ka paratha for him. I enjoy cooking for him and the rest of the family. These occasions are rare when I'm cooing in the kitchen and the kids and their mother (Twinkle Khanna) are sitting at the dining table and enjoying their day."
Not to forget, Akshay lives a very disciplined life, not under compulsion, but because he likes it. "I lead a disciplined life, and I like it. I wake up at 4am and go to bed by 9pm. I don't like going to parties. I don't like drinking. I'm not saying these things are bad, but it is best to do it in moderation," he signed off by saying.
On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in Good Newws alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. Apart from that, he also has Sooryavanshi, Laxmmi Bomb, Prithviraj and Bellbottom in the pipeline.
