Siddhant Chaturvedi who burst on the Bollywood scene this year with Ranveer Singh’s and Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy is on a roll. Reportedly, the actor has been roped in to star alongside Saif Ali Khan and Ananya Panday in Rahul Dholakia’s next venture. Saif is reportedly playing Ananya’s father in the film. The film is being backed by Farhan Akhtar’s and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment.
An entertainment website reported that the actor who is being backed by Excel Entertainment have been cast in the film. More details and an official announcement is awaited and the film will reportedly mount the sets in April next year. The film is a drama about a father-and-daughter relationship.
It will be interesting to see Saif play father to Ananya as he is also playing father to Alaia Furniterewala in Jawaani Jaaneman. The film also stars Tabu in the lead.
Interestingly, Siddhant and Ananya will also share screen space in Shakun Batra’s next produced by Karan Johar that has Deepika Padukone in the lead. Saif, on the other hand, will be next seen in Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The film is scheduled to release on January 10, 2020, and also stars Kajol. It is directed by Om Raut.
