Watch: I have actively made a place for myself in films where my wrinkles are not a concern and I can have a dignified career: Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut, during the launch of the trailer of her upcoming film Panga, spoke about finding a strong foothold in Bollywood. The actress told that when she started off her career, the status that women used to get in films was extremely unlikely. She added that once they were of 28 or 29 years, they would get a suspension letter of sorts for the visibility of wrinkles and grey hair. Talking further, she said she doesn't want to be in a situation where her gender is more important than her intelligence.

Delving deeper into the topic, Kangana added that over a period of time, she has attained a position in cinema where she doesn't have to worry about her wrinkles and enjoy a dignified career. Adding further, she said that if in the future, she wants to quit acting, she would do it by her self and her decision and not under someone's influence.

Speaking of Panga, it is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and traces the journey of a mother who gets a second chance to relive her dreams. Apart from Kangana, the film stars Jassie Gill, Yagya Bhasin, Neena Gupta and Richa Chadha, It is presented by Fox Star Hindi and will release on January 24, 2020.
