On November 1, 2019, there were several reports that stated that Katrina has been approached by Excel Entertainment, which is owned by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for their next, which is touted to be a supernatural thriller. According to the buzz, Katrina was supposed to be teaming up with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi for the said film. The source close to the development had then added that once Katrina is done with Sooryavanshi's shoot, she will consider signing the film.
"The movie is heavy on action and will see Katrina drive the proceedings. Like the studio's other productions, this film is high on concept and mounted on a big budget. The actor is busy with the Sooryavanshi shoot and will zero in on her next only after the film has been wrapped up. She is considering this as her previous project with Excel, Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, remains one of her most loved films."
Now, a renowned trade analyst Rahul Raut has tweeted about the film's confirmation. Not just this, according to PeepingMoon.com sources, Katrina is also said to play the lead role of a cop in Aanand L. Rai's next, which is also reported to be an action film with touches of comedy. As per our sources, the actress has almost locked her dates for the same and the parallel lead of the film is said to be Vidya Balan, but an official confirmation is due.
